Elise Giles advances in Rotary Speech Contest

Elise Giles, center, a student at Mount Lassen Charter School, won the local Rotary Speech Contest held Wednesday, March 31 at the Lassen Unified School District Boardroom. The theme of this year’s contest is “Turning challenges into opportunities as we create transformative change.” Giles will advance to the Rotary District Speech Contest held May 1 at Lake Tahoe.
