The 12th Annual Susanville Indian Rancheria (SIR) Powwow returns October 22-24. SIR is composed of members of the Pit River, Maidu, Paiute and Washoe tribes who are sponsoring and organizing the powwow to celebrate and honor elders, veterans and the ancestors of indigenous peoples and to bring cultural awareness to the community. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. This is a drug and alcohol free event.
