A presenter from Lassen Works will discuss cash assistance relative placement, Cal-Fresh and Medi-Cal.

The Lassen Community College Kinship Program presents Permanency Options/Working with Birth Parents from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Jan. 16 in LCC’s Creative Arts Room 209. Natalie Karson will share her permanency story and her direct work experience working with birth parents. This is a great opportunity for anyone who would like a better understanding of the pros, cons and resources to help with the permancey option and the importance of working with birth parents.

The Lassen Community College Kinship Program presents Cultural Awareness from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 in LCC’s Creative Arts Room 209. According to a flyer for the program, presented by Natalie Karso, “Cultural diversity is to be recognized, respected and celebrated. Cultural differences aren’t always obvious as they evolve with time. Most often they’re quite subtle. Culture influences and shapes identities through a kaleidoscope of languages, norms, beliefs and values. Come join us and discover what your unique cultural lineage has passed along to you.”
