Fairgrounds hosts annual fireworks show

Fireworks on the Fourth of July celebrating our independence from England are just about as American as it gets. The Lassen County Fairgrounds presents a free fireworks show that begins about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 4, following the Fourth of July stock car races at the fairgrounds. The grandstand gates open at 5 p.m. and the racing starts at 6 p.m. The annual fireworks show is sponsored by the city of Susanville, Tri Counties Bank, Alpine Beverage, Susanville Auto Center and Pregill Insurance.
