PRELIMINARY ADVERTISEMENT PLUMAS NATIONAL FOREST
The USDA Forest Service intends to advertise the Boulder IRTC DxP Stewardship Timber Contract encompassing an estimated14,651 acres in all or portions of T27N, R12E, Sec 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23 and 24; T27N, R13E, Sec 19 and 30; T28N, R11E, Sec 11, 12, 13, 14, 23 and 24; T28N, R12E, Sec 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33; MDM, with four mandatory service items and two optional service items. This is a SCALED sale for an estimated weight of 44,245 green tons (GT), an equivalent net volume of 11,839 CCF, of sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting on an estimate 1,111.5 acres, as follows: Douglas fir – 750 GT, Incense cedar – 88 GT, Lodgepole Pine – 121 GT, Ponderosa /Jeffrey Pine – 25,171 GT and White /Red Fir – 18,115 GT. There is also an unspecified weight of biomass at Subject to Agreement available. The Mandatory Work Items are: Road Maintenance, Cut-Skid-Deck of Biomass, Road Obliteration, and Recreation Barrier Logs. The Optional Work Items are: Chip and Haul Biomass from Landings and Road Maintenance for haul to a Power Co-Generation Plant.

The Forest Service is seeking comments on the Draft Environmental Assessment for the Silver Creek Pipeline Replacement Project. The USDA Forest Service, Plumas National Forest, Mount Hough Ranger District together with Soper-Wheeler Company LLC.(Soper Co.) is proposing to replace and upgrade an existing pipeline that supplies water for domestic use, agriculture irrigation, livestock, dust abatement and fire suppression.. The project is located approximately 7miles west of Quincy, California, on the Mt. Hough Ranger District of the Plumas National Forest, Plumas County, California. This project is subject to comment pursuant to 36 CFR 218, Subparts A and B. Only those who submit timely project-specific written comments during a public comment period are eligible to file an objection. Individuals or representatives of an entity submitting comments must sign the comments or verify identity upon request.
The Forest Service will accept comments on this proposal for 30 days following publication of the opportunity to comment legal notice which is the exclusive means for calculating the comment period. Commenters should not rely upon dates or timeframe information provided by any other source. It is the commenter’s responsibility to ensure timely receipt of comments (36 CFR 218.25).

The West Lights Timber Sale is located within T 28 N, R 10 E, Sec 13, 24-27, 34-35; T 27 N, R 10 E, Sec 1,2,11,12; T 27 N, R 11 E, Sec 6, 7, MDM. The Forest Service will receive sealed bids in public at PNF Supervisor’s Office, 159 Lawrence Street, Quincy, CA 95971 at 10:00 AM local time on 10/11/2019 for an estimated volume of 11,635 tons of Combined Softwood sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below.
