Festive lights decorate Lassen County Fairgrounds

Festive lights and joyful music set the mood for those seeking a holiday drive through the Festival of Lights display, put on by Mike and Kathy Justice, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds.

For only a few more nights, the free drive through display is open to all seeking some holiday cheer.

Take a drive through the Fairgrounds, starting on the Jensen Hall side, from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 23, from 5 to 10 p.m. tomorrow, Christmas Eve and from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Christmas Day.

The groups involved with lights throughout the fair and the trees in the front by the marquee are Lassen Community College, Lake 4H, the Lassen County Cattlewomen, the Fair Advisory Board, Meadowview, Susanville FFA, Diamond Mountain Casino and Lassen Family Services, according to Lassen County Fair Manager Kaitlyn Downing.

The event is free to the community, however, there is a donation box at the end of the event if anyone chooses to donate with proceeds going back to the fairgrounds.
