If you’d like to spend a few hours on the links and help the city of Susanville’s pay its legal bills in its efforts to stop the closure of the California Correctional Center, the Soroptimist International of Susanville has come up with a way for you to help.
According to a statement from the club, Soroptimist International of Susanville is hosting a golf tournament Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Diamond Mountain Golf Club. Signups are due no later than Sunday, Oct. 17.
The Soroptimists are partnering with the Stakeholders Committee and all proceeds will be donated to the city of Susanville to help with court costs in the City vs CDCR and the state.
It is a four-man scramble tournament and they hope to get 25-36 teams to play. Registration beings at 8 a.m. and there will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
Sponsorships are available for businesses or individuals that would like to help support the cause — $500 Ace Sponsorship, $400 Team Sponsorship, $100 Player Sponsorship and $75 Hole Sponsor
