Fire Safe Council seeks bids for Bootsole/Cradle valley Project Biomass removal, log decking
According to a statement from the Lassen Fire Safe Council, the agency solicits sealed bids from qualified licensed timber operators to perform mechanical forest fuels reduction work and mechanical forest restoration work in the Plumas National Forest, Beckwourth Ranger District.
The project area is approximately 1.5 miles south of Thompson Peak, 3 miles south of Janesville, and 4 miles west of Highway 395.
Project implementation is expected in 2023‐2025. Project will involve work in burned and unburned stands including tree felling, skidding, decking, chipping, and hauling of material to biomass utilization facilities.
Sealed bids will be received in person at the Lassen Fire Safe Council office at 1825 Main Street Susanville, CA 96130, or by mail at PO Box 816 Susanville, CA 96130 by 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10.
Lassen Fire Safe Council will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer according to the information found in the bid package. Bids will be accepted from contractors who demonstrate an ability to successfully complete the scope of work being bid and have valid required insurances and licenses in effect at the time of bid submission.
