The Susanville Fire Department, with automatic aid from CalFire, responded to a reported structure fire at 6 Monrovia St. about 4:20 a.m. Saturday, April 10.
When a SFD engine arrived on the scene, it found a fully involved travel trailer on fire threatening an adjacent apartment building. Fire crews made an aggressive fire attack to stop the fire from spreading to the apartment building, and the fire was extinguished about 5:30 a.m. The travel trailer was a complete loss, and there was minor damage to the apartment building.
Two fire engines, one ladder truck, eight firefighters and two chief officers responded to the fire. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Susanville Police Department assisted the SFD and CalFire.
