Firefighters to receive training at agricultural burn

Local crews are continuing to receive training at an agricultural burn this week.

This afternoon, Monday, March 29, through Wednesday, March 31, Cal Fire Lassen Modoc Unit will be assisting Fish and Wildlife with an agricultural burn on the Fleming Wildlife Area, located in the Wendel Area, a statement from Cal Fire announced.

Cal Fire, along with the Standish Volunteer Fire Department, will use the opportunity to assist the landowner in conducting a safe controlled burn, while also providing training for firefighters.
