OK, all you young fisherfolk — the Lassen County Junior Fishing Derby will be held Saturday, Sept. 30.
Organizers postponed the annual event, usually held in May the weekend before the trout stream opener, due to high water in the Susan River.
Fish planting for the event is planned for Thursday, Sept. 28
“Prizes are in the storage locker, posters are coming soon and will put up around town,” said Lassen Sportsmans Club president Wade Workman. “”The weather is cooling off, and Susan River still looks good. Things are on track for a great event.”
