Fleming Wildlife Area agriculture control burn to provide training

An agriculture burn is helping provide training for local firefighters this week.

Starting this afternoon, Monday, March 22, through Wednesday, March 24, Cal Fire Lassen Modoc Unit will be assisting Fish and Wildlife with an agricultural burn on the Fleming Wildlife Area, located in the Wendel Area, a statement from Cal Fire announced.

Cal Fire, alnong with the Standish Volunteer Fire Department, will use the opportunity to assist the landowner in conducting a safe controlled burn, while also providing training for firefighters.
