Flex-based, personalized learning schools —including one serving Lassen County — recognized as 2025 Honor Roll Schools by Educational Results Partnership

The Association of Personalized Schools and Services is proud to share that seven of its member schools have earned a spot on the 2025 Educational Results Partnership (ERP) Honor Roll, which recognizes schools in California that have outperformed their peers in closing achievement gaps, particularly among higher-poverty and historically disadvantaged student populations.

APLUS+ member schools are tuition-free, public charter schools that provide flex-based, student-centered, personalized learning programs serving tens of thousands of students throughout the state.

APLUS+ member schools that made the Honor Roll are
• Phoenix Charter Academy – College View (serving students in Shasta, Tehama, Trinity, Siskiyou, and Lassen counties).
• Cottonwood Creek Charter (serving students in Shasta, Trinity, and Tehama counties).
• Excel Academy Charter School (serving students in Orange, Riverside, and San Diego counties).
• Sage Oak Charter — Helendale (serving students in San Bernardino, Inyo, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside counties).
• Sage Oak Charter – Keppel (serving students in Los Angeles, Ventura, Kern, San Bernardino and Orange counties).
• Shasta Charter Academy (serving students in Shasta, Trinity, and Tehama counties).
• Valley View Charter Prep (serving students in Alameda and Contra Costa counties).

A total of 1,834 schools in California made the 2025 Honor Roll, approximately 21 percent of all eligible schools in the state. Results are based on data of student outcomes on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress for the 2024-2025 academic year. All of APLUS+ member schools on the Honor Roll serve a diverse student population and have at least 33 percent of students designated as socioeconomically disadvantaged.

The California Honor Roll is produced by Educational Results Partnership and presented by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence in collaboration with 28 Chambers of Commerce throughout the state. It is the only school recognition program presented in partnership with state and local business leaders and using solely objective student achievement data as the criteria.
