As of the 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 6 update, there are seven active COVID-19 community cases, 2,037 recovered, there are no current hospitalizations and there have been 22 deaths: A total of 2,062 community cases. There were four new cases reported Tuesday.
Additionally, there have been 4,733 vaccines administered by Lassen County Public Health. This does not reflect the vaccines provided by other organizations in the area. The second Moderna shot for those who participated in the county’s March 17 drive-through clinic is set for 8 to 5 p.m. April 14 at Lassen Community College.
At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 0 active cases, 2,024 recovered and two deaths at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there is one active case and 1,332 recovered cases at CCC, and zero active and 235 recovered at FCI Herlong.
Positive correctional staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases. As of the last update, March 26, according to the CDCR COVID-19 tracker, at CCC there are currently three active staff cases, and six active staff cases at HDSP.
