A Celebration of Life for Gary Felt will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 17, at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Susanville.
A Navy veteran, Felt served 10 years aboard a nuclear-powered submarine during his 21-year Navy career.
Before his official retirement in August 2013, Felt served as the general manager of Paratransit Services in Lassen County.
During his time in Lassen County, Felt rightly earned the moniker “Mr. Susanville” for his dedication to the people of Lassen County —serving clubs and boards including Northeastern Rural Health Clinic, Susanville Sunrise Rotary, the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce, the Lassen College Foundation, Crime Stoppers, Kiwanis and the Salvation Army, and many more.
Felt tirelessly worked to help community organizations and clubs, and it seems as if he actively promoted and attended every single event in Susanville for many years.
A good friend to all, his contribution to our community will be sorely missed.
