Born July 15, 1946, Gary was called home to be with the Lord on November 14, 2022. Gary grew up in Susanville; graduated from Lassen High School in 1964; and graduated from UNR in 1971. He had resided in Fallon for the past 45 years where he and his wife, Connie, raised their four children while he taught junior high school science and coached multiple sports. He retired from teaching in 2002, at which time he started a second career as a retirement planner and continued with until his untimely death. He left behind his wife, Connie; sons Jacob (wife Shawna) and Eric (wife Michelle), and daughter Katherine (husband Chad) and his grandchildren Taylor, Ashlyn, Alyssa, Dru, Eri, Brielle, Elliot and Vivian. Gary was predeceased in death by his daughter, Stephanie (Honea) Murakami, brother Rick Honea, and parents Harper and Ella Honea. A celebration of life and reception will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 1:30 pm, at the Parkside Church, 485 Tedford Ln, Fallon NV. Note new time, previously was to be at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made to the Fallon Youth Club.
