Great news for golfers who are anxious to get out on the links at the Diamond Mountain Golf Course — the facility officially opens Saturday, March 20.
According to the city of Susanville’s website, “Nestled at the base of Diamond Mountain, the Diamond Mountain Golf Course offers something for everyone, with its long straight fairways, simple doglegs, numerous pine trees and fast greens.
“Formerly known as Emerson Lake Golf Course, the Diamond Mountain Golf course was renamed, redesigned and expanded to a full 18-holes. The tight layout has a defined cut of rough bordering its fairways, so shot accuracy is at a premium. The course personnel take pride in the course’s large, sloped greens, which are fast but are soft in texture, so they should hold your shots.”
