Grizzlies last minute run for playoff win
The Lassen High School Grizzlies baseball team entered into the first round of section Championship playoffs against Oroville. The Grizzlies pulled out a 2-1 in the final inning against Oroville.
The game was a tough one as Oroville nailed down on pitcher Ethan Williams, and managed to catch the ever fast Miles Ormachea stealing third. But the Grizzlies were undeterred.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, the score was tied, 1-1. Grizzlies were at bat with two struck out, but Ormachea hit a ground ball to second base. However Orovilles second baseman threw the ball past first base allowing Ormachea to move on to second base.
With two outs, and a runner on second, Brock Wolf stepped up where he would get to a 0-and-2 count then lined a single into left field scoring in Ormachea from second base with the winning run.

Williams was the starting pitcher, pitching for five innings and two outs; he allowed six hits, no walks, hit two batters, one strike out and one run.
Wolf pitched in relief for one inning and was the winning pitcher; he allowed no hits, no walks, two strike outs and no runs against him.
Ormachea led in hitting, having put out two hits, a walk early on, and scored both runs for the Grizzlies.
Wolf put out one hit and one RBI to win the game.
