Highway 36 blasting operations scheduled for today, Friday

UPDATE: Highway 36 Blasting is still scheduled to take place Friday, Oct. 23, Caltrans District 2 shared, but crews will be working starting at noon, not 3 p.m. as previously stated. Delays are still anticipated to be 45 minutes.

More blast work is scheduled for today and Friday on Highway 36 between Westwood and Susanville.

According to Caltrans District 2, crews will be conducting blasting operations on Highway 36 near Fredonyer Summit from 2  to 4 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 22 and Friday, Oct. 23. Work is expected to last about 45 minutes. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays. Schedules may be subject to change.
