Three people were injured and a driver was arrested for driving under the influence following a two-car crash on Highway 395.
According to a statement from the California Highway Patrol, Larry W. Fergusen, 74, of Reno, Nevada was arrested for DUI following a collision at 9:30 p.m. Sept. 30 on Highway 395 south of Thunder Mountain Road. Fergusen, driving at 2019 Suburu Crosstrek, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center.
James E. Oxford, 53, and Thelma Oxford, 55, both of Ocala, Florida also received minor injuries and were transported to BLMC.
According to the statement, Fergusen, who already had been reported as a wrong-way driver, collided head on with the Oxford’s 2020 Toyota Mazda CX-30.
