Highway 44 set to reopen today

Highway 44 between the junction of Highway 89 and County Road A-21. is set to reopen at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 15 the California Highway Patrol shared.

The Dixie Fire had prompted the closure of the local road to through traffic. Traffic control measures and a pilot car will be in place in Shasta County due to roadway hazards related to the Dixie Fire.
