Hog Flat Vegetation Management Project continues today

CalFire announced resources continue with the Hog Flat Vegetation Management Project. Do not be alarmed by visible smoke in the air. Do not report. Use caution while traveling due to emergency vehicles and possible smoke across Highway 44 between Hog Flat Reservoir and Goumaz Road west of Susanville.

This ongoing project will treat timber and understory if climate conditions are optimal, ensuring control, limiting escape and minimizing poor air quality. In the event of high winds or other fire activity indicating the project cannot be conducted in a safe manner, the project will be rescheduled.
