The Honey Lake Valley Resource Conservation District and Lovestead Farms host the third and final workshop in a series on composting — Reaping the Benefits — from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Susanville Community Garden, 105 S. Ash St. (park at the Pat Murphy T-ball field).
According to the district, “Focus will be on completing the composting cycle and how to plan piles that will help you maximize the value of local source materials where available. Dig your hands into finished compost to learn what to look for before adding to your garden.”
Previous workshops included Getting Started (Oct. 16) and Keeping It Going (Nov. 6).
