Our very own Mr. Ernaga was voted Coach of the Year by Northern Section sports reporters from all over! (as reported in the Enterprise Record). These reporters vote on and decide the “All-Northern Section Teams” where Graceyn Harlan was placed on Girls Basketball second team, and Shade Satica was placed on Girls Basketball first team.
And speaking of Shade … Shade Satica (for volleyball), is the recipient of the 2022-2023 CIF Fall Female Spirit of Sport Award. As a state winner, for the fall season, she will attend the CIF State Federated Council Luncheon Friday, April 28, at the Los Angeles Marriot Burbank.
The CIF Spirit of Sport Award recognizes students who live the ideals of Pursuing Victory with Honor in their lives and athletic endeavors. The state award recognizes one male and one female student from all applications received in each season of sport (Fall/Winter/Spring). Student-athletes are selected based upon exemplary sportsmanship, school/community service and leadership. Shade will receive a Spirit of Sport certificate, an acrylic award and a $2,500 scholarship. These will be presented to her at the CIF State Federated Council Luncheon.
