In loving memory of Danny Viscotha

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dan Viscotha, a man whose unique and charismatic character left an indelible mark on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Dan passed away peacefully Sept. 13, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.

Dan Viscotha

Born May 17, 1952, in Upstate New York, Dan lived a life that was as vibrant and colorful as the sunsets he often admired during his adventures.

He was a true outdoorsman, a passionate hunter who found solace and excitement in chasing coyotes in his beloved “Coyotemobile.” To him, each hunting expedition was not just a pursuit of wildlife but a communion with nature itself. He possessed a deep respect for the great outdoors and instilled that love in his two daughters, Tracy Rankin and Kelli Logasa, who he leaves behind.

Dan was not just a hunter; he was an adventurer, a lover of freedom, and a free spirit. He cherished the wind in his hair as he roared down the open road on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a faithful companion to his wanderlust. His passion for riding was matched only by his love for his daughters, whom he raised to be strong, independent and just as fearless as he was.

His charisma was a force of nature, drawing people from all walks of life into his orbit. His smile could light up a room, and his stories were legendary, each one a testament to a life well-lived. Dan had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and cherished, a true gift that endeared him to all who crossed his path.

As we bid farewell to Dan, we remember a man who lived life to the fullest, who embraced the thrill of the hunt, the freedom of the open road and the joys of fatherhood. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his beloved daughters, Tracy and Kelli, his grandchildren Brianna, Tyler and Hailey, and in the countless memories shared with family and friends.

In the words of Dan, “Life is a wild adventure; embrace it with open arms.”

And so, we celebrate the life of a man who embraced every moment, found beauty in the unexpected and taught us all the true meaning of living life to the fullest.

Rest in peace, Dan. Your spirit will forever ride on in the hearts of those who loved you. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
