Indian Valley Record Public Notices for the week of 4/10/19
Opportunity for Comment
Sierra Institute for Community and Environment is providing an opportunity for public comment on a Removal Action Workplan document for cleanup of contaminated soils at the former LP sawmill site at 15690 Highway 89, Crescent Mills, CA. This site hosted various sawmills over time, and has remained vacant since 1986. Sierra Institute plans to redevelop this site to a wood products campus, utilizing forest waste and creating jobs. Copies of the document can be found at the Sierra Institute’s office at 4438 Main Street in Taylorsville, at the Greenville Public Library, or online at sierrainstitute.us/program/ivwpc. This document outlines a plan for remediating contamination on site – this work is scheduled to occur in summer 2019. Please submit written comments to Camille Swezy, Project Manager, at PO Box 11, Taylorsville CA 95983, or to cswezy@sierrainstitute.us. Comments will be accepted if received or postmarked by May 8th, 2019. Call (530) 284-1022 for any questions.
