Investigation identifies Susanville man as suspect in Hall Street shooting
UPDATE 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10: A Susanville man has been identified as the suspect in Sunday’s Hall Street shooting, according to an updated statement from the Susanville Police Department.
“After an investigation conducted by the Susanville Police Department, we have identified Sean Antonio Garcia, age 24, of Susanville, (who is currently in custody on unrelated weapons charges) as the suspect in the shooting that took place on Dec. 6 at 780 Hall Street,” read the statement.
“Yesterday, Garcia was arraigned on multiple weapon charges, along with assault with a deadly weapon, for the shooting on Dec. 6,” the statement continued.
He is being held at the Lassen County Jail on $150,000 bail.

The Susanville Police Department is seeking information regarding an alleged shooting that injured one person Sunday, Dec. 6.
According to a statement from the local department, at around 7 p.m. Sunday, officers from the Susanville Police Department responded to a call for service in the area of 780 Hall Street regarding shots fired. While enroute to the location, dispatch informed officers that one person had been struck by the fire.
“Officers arrived on scene and located one victim who had been shot in his lower extremities. Officers were able to secure the scene, which allowed for the Susanville Fire Department and SEMSA personnel to arrive on scene and treat the victim for their injuries. The victim was transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center for further treatment of their injuries,” read the statement.
“Officers canvased the area for any potential witnesses and collected evidence left on scene of the shooting. This case is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Susanville Police Department at 257-5603,” the statement continued.
