It’s Mixer Time!

Come join the Lassen County Chamber at its May Mixer and Artist Reception, presented by the Lassen County Arts Council from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday May 16, at 807 Cottage St.

Your favorite chamber board bar tenders will be serving drinks as always, and the Lassen County Arts Council will have finger foods available as well.

What the chamber has put together for you

The May 16 Mixer is serving as a mixer and as an artist reception for the Wood and Iron Show which includes different art mediums (wood, metal, iron, welding, leather and silver pieces) from local artists including Rob Brown, Sidney Bean, Brian Bardouski, Randle Panfilio, Russel Bates and Than King. This show was previously scheduled as an exhibit until the Dixie Fire came to town and the gallery was in the evacuation zone and due to the fire, the show was not able to be seen by the public, so it is getting its second chance and since the Dixie Fire the gallery was able to add new artists to the show.

A little peak at the Arts Council
The Lassen County Arts Council’s gallery is located at 807 Cottage Street in Susanville and is a nonprofit organization designated by Lassen County Board of Supervisors to serve the county’s citizens in partnership with the California Arts Council. The Lassen County Arts Council was established in 1971 and has served the community through numerous performing, literary, and visual art events and workshops. LCAC applies for grant funding annually through the California Arts Council which allows them to keep the lights and heat on, employ one part-time gallery coordinator and showcase local artists within our community and promote their art through exhibits, art sales and exposure. LCAC is a non-profit organization that is  membership-driven and powered by volunteers.
