Janesville man faces DUI with injury to another charge

A Janesville man faces a charge of driving under the influence for driving under the influence and causing injury to another.

According to a statement from the California Highway Patrol, Peyton Naser, 19, of Janesville, was driving a 2008 Suzuki Gran Vitara on Gold run Road west of Gunderson in the morning of Sunday, Oct. 29 when he was unable to negotiate a left-hand curve due to his level of intoxication.

Nasser allowed the Suzuki to travel to the right and leave the asphalt roadway. It traveled along the downhill embankment until it crashed into a large boulder and came to rest.

Juven Reyo, 19, of Susanville, the right front passenger, suffered major injuries and was transported to Lassen Banner Medical Center.

Nasser was arrested for driving under the influence and causing injury to another. He was transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center, treated for minor injuries before being booked into the Lassen County Jail.
