Andrew Jarrett has been promoted to Fire Captain at the Susanville Fire Department.
According to a statement from Fire Chief James Moore, “Following a recent extended recruitment for the position of Fire Captain at the Susanville Fire Department, I would like to announce that Fire Apparatus Engineer Andrew Jarrett has been selected as a successful candidate in the process and has been promoted to the position of Fire Captain.
“Captain Jarrett started his career as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Susanville Fire Department in 2010. The City of Susanville hired Andrew as a full-time permanent Firefighter Iin 2017. Andrew has since worked to promote through the Firefighter I and Fire Apparatus Engineer ranks. Captain Jarrett has worked hard to achieve a Fire Science degree at Lassen College, holds an EMT-B license, and currently serves as the department’s fleet mechanic.
“I have full confidence Captain Jarrett will continue to serve our department and our community with the highest level of professionalism, pride, and respect.
