The Junior Fishing Derby, postponed last month due to high and swift water in the Susan River, has been rescheduled for Sept. 30.
“Great News! The 2023 Junior Fishing Derby Committee has set Sept. 30, 2023 as the day to hold the derby, according to a statement from the Lassen Sportsmens’ Club. “We chose this date to avoid conflicts with previously scheduled events along with input from the local California Department of Fish and Wildlife fisheries biologist and the Desert Springs Fish Hatchery.”
