According to a statement from the Susanville Police Department, Nicholas James Judlin, 20, of Susanville, is in custody and charged with assault with a deadly weapon regarding a Sept. 1 shooting incident at a residence on Knoch Avenue that injured a 23-year-old victim’s leg and sent him to an out-of-the-area hospital for treatment. According to the SPD’s original statement the day of the shooting, “it appears this is an isolated incident, and there is no immediate threat to the general public.”
Monday morning, Sept. 18, SPD officers received information about Judlin’s location.
Officers converged on 320 Limoneria Street. Judlin was outside and taken into custody without incident.
