Lady Grizzlies golf runs the green for victory

After a strong game at the Lake Shastina Golf Course on Thursday Sept. 13, the Grizzly girls golf brought it home for another win.

The Grizzly girls once again showed their skill Thursday Sept. 20, at the Diamond Mountain Golf Course, taking first against; Yreka, Mt. Shasta, and West Valley, with golfers from U-Prep and Anderson participating, but not enough on each respective team to place.

The Lady Grizzlies came in first with a final stroke count of 294, followed closely by West Valley at a recorded stroke count of 301. In third came Mt. Shasta, with a final stroke count of 354. Yreka coming in fourth with 359 strokes recorded.

Lassen’s first place finisher was Kendahl Loflin with a tally of 51 strokes. In second place was Bailey Rivington with 56 strokes.

Angelina O’Connor earned third for the Grizzlies with 60 strokes. Dania Tynan finished fourth with 62 strokes recorded. Fifth place was awarded to Rylee McCart for 65 strokes, and Madison Green finished with a total of 69 strokes recorded.

This meet put the Lady Grizzlies at 14 points in league standing placing them in first overall. With first place finisher for Lassen, Kendahl Loflin, placing second in the NAL girls golf standing.

The Lady Grizzlies played at Tucker Oaks Golf Course on Thursday Sept. 27, results were not available as of press time.
