Lassen Cares announced a 23rd COVID-19 related death this week.
As of the June 21 update, there are 12 active COVID-19 community cases in Lassen County, 2,147 recovered, one current hospitalization and there have been 23 deaths: A total of 2,183 community cases.
Additionally, there have been 7,269 vaccine doses administered by Lassen County Public Health. This does not reflect the vaccines provided by other organizations in the area. The local public health department is still offering vaccines, and appointments can be made at myturn.ca.gov. Lassen Cares noted the active hospitalized patients are unvaccinated and not considered high risk.
At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 0 active cases, 2,024 recovered and two deaths at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are 8 active cases and 1,347 recovered cases at CCC, and 0 active and 235 recovered at FCI Herlong.
