Lassen Cares announced seven new COVID-19 community cases and four current hospitalizations Tuesday.
As of the evening June 15 update, there are 12 active COVID-19 community cases in Lassen County, 2,135 recovered, four current hospitalizations and there have been 22 deaths: A total of 2,173 community cases.
Additionally, there have been 7,230 vaccine doses administered by Lassen County Public Health. This does not reflect the vaccines provided by other organizations in the area. The local public health department is still offering vaccines, and appointments can be made at myturn.ca.gov. Lassen Cares noted the active hospitalized patients are unvaccinated and not considered high risk.
At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 0 active cases, 2,024 recovered and two deaths at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are 16 active cases and 1,332 recovered cases at CCC, and 0 active and 235 recovered at FCI Herlong.
Positive correctional staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases. As of the June 15 update, according to the CDCR COVID-19 tracker, at CCC there are currently two active staff cases, and one active staff case at HDSP.
