Lassen Cares announced six new COVID-19 community cases and five current hospitalizations Monday, along with new cases among the incarcerated population at California Correctional Center.
As of the evening June 7 update, there are 11 active COVID-19 community cases in Lassen County, 2,121 recovered, five current hospitalizations and there have been 22 deaths: A total of 2,159 community cases.
Additionally, there have been 7,176 vaccine doses administered by Lassen County Public Health. This does not reflect the vaccines provided by other organizations in the area.
At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 0 active cases, 2,024 recovered and two deaths at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are 15 active cases and 1,332 recovered cases at CCC, and 0 active and 235 recovered at FCI Herlong.
Positive correctional staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases. As of the June 4 update, according to the CDCR COVID-19 tracker, at CCC there are currently three active staff cases, and six active staff cases at HDSP.
