As of 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2 there are 271 active COVID-19 community cases, 274 recovered, three are currently hospitalized and there have been two deaths reported, for 550 total community cases. Tuesday’s update reported 293 active, 242 recovered, one hospitalized and two deaths
At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 418 active cases, 533 recovered and one death at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are 30 active cases and 626 recovered cases at CCC, and 50 active and 12 recovered at FCI Herlong.
Positive CDCR staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases.
Locally, there have been 11,423 tests administered, with 10,759 returning negative and 114 pending.
