Lassen Cares reports 289 active community COVID-19 cases

According to Lassen Cares, Lassen County’s COVID-19 reporting hub, as of 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, there are 523 total community cases. Of those, 289 are active, one is currently hospitalized, there are two  reported deaths and there are 231 recovered cases. The previous update from Lassen Cares, shared Wednesday, Nov. 25, listed 194 active cases, 177 recovered, two current hospitalizations and two deaths.

At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 618 active cases, 322 recovered and one death at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are 32 active cases and 626 recovered cases at CCC, and 26 active and 12 recovered at FCI Herlong.

Positive CDCR staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases. As of the Nov. 25 update from CDCR, there are 22 active staff cases at CCC and 97 active staff cases at HDSP. A staff update is expected Dec. 4.

Locally, there have been 11,304 tests administered, with 10,678 returning negative and 103 pending.

Moreover, earlier today, Lassen County Public Health announced the COVID-19 Project Baseline Testing was extended through Dec. 31 in Lassen County.
