Lassen Cares reported 20 new community cases Wednesday night, and FCI Herlong has brought its inmate cases down to zero.
As of the 10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 Lassen Cares update, there are 411 active COVID-19 community cases, 1,003 recovered, 9 are currently hospitalized and there have been seven deaths reported: A total of 1,430 community cases.
At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 117 active cases, 1,783 recovered and two deaths at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are 305 active cases and 774 recovered cases at CCC, and no active and 245 recovered at FCI Herlong.
Positive correctional staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases. As of the Dec. 30 update, according to the CDCR COVID-19 tracker, at CCC there are currently 46 active staff cases, and 78 active staff cases at HDSP.
Locally, there have been 13,422 tests administered, with 11,752 returning negative and 240 pending.
For serology testing, which detects the presence of antibodies in the blood, 263 have been tested, 12 returned positive and 251 returned negative.
