As of the 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 Lassen Cares update, there are 440 active COVID-19 community cases, 358 recovered, seven are currently hospitalized and there have been four deaths reported: A total of 809 community cases — an increase of 32 cases since the Wednesday update.
At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 419 active cases, 898 recovered and one death at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are 21 active cases and 654 recovered cases at CCC, and 24 active and 146 recovered at FCI Herlong.
Positive correctional institution staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases. As of the Thursday update, according to the CDCR COVID-19 tracker, at CCC there are currently 64 active staff cases, and 147 active staff cases at HDSP.
Locally, there have been 12,205 tests administered, with 11,012 returning negative and 384 pending.
For serology testing, which detects the presence of antibodies in the blood, 255 have been tested, six returned positive and 249 returned negative.
