Lassen Cares reported an additional 34 COVID-19 community cases Thursday, Dec. 3.
As of the 3:30 p.m. Thursday update, there are 290 active COVID-19 community cases, 288 recovered, four are currently hospitalized and there have been two deaths reported: A total of 584 community cases — an increase of 34 cases since the last update Wednesday.
At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 413 active cases, 548 recovered and one death at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are 30 active cases and 626 recovered cases at CCC, and 139 active and 12 recovered at FCI Herlong.
Positive correctional institution staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases.
Locally, there have been 11,468 tests administered, with 10,787 returning negative and 114 pending.
For serology testing, which detects the presence of antibodies in the blood, 255 have been tested, six returned positive and 249 returned negative.
