Lassen Cares reports 625 community cases, 329 active

As of the 6 p.m. Friday Lassen Cares update, there are 329 active COVID-19 community cases, 290 recovered, four are currently hospitalized and there have been two deaths reported: A total of 625 community cases — an increase of 41 cases since the last update Thursday.

At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 321 active cases, 662 recovered and one death at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are 13 active cases and 647 recovered cases at CCC, and 141 active and 12 recovered at FCI Herlong.

Positive correctional institution staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases.

Locally, there have been 11,741 tests administered, with 10,798 returning negative and 318 pending.

For serology testing, which detects the presence of antibodies in the blood, 255 have been tested, six returned positive and 249 returned negative.
