Lassen Cares reports 7 new cases: 21 active, 1,973 recovered

As of the 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18 update, there are 21 active COVID-19 community cases, 1,973 recovered, there are no current hospitalizations and there have been 17 deaths: A total of 2,011 community cases — an increase of 7 additional cases since the Wednesday update.
There have been 1,528 vaccines administered, not including doses from Banner Lassen Medical Center or CDCR.

At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 23 active cases, 1,992 recovered and two deaths at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are 34 active cases and 1,251 recovered cases at CCC, and no active and 245 recovered at FCI Herlong.

Positive correctional staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases. As of the Feb. 18 update, according to the CDCR COVID-19 tracker, at CCC there are currently 29 active staff cases, and 35 active staff cases at HDSP.

Locally, there have been 14,989 tests administered, with 12,978 returning negative and 0 pending.
