Lassen Cares reports 8 new cases: 11 active, 1,991 recovered

As of the 5:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22 update, there are 11 active COVID-19 community cases, 1,991 recovered, there are no current hospitalizations and there have been 17 deaths: A total of 2,019 community cases — an increase of 8 additional cases since the last update.
There have been 1,644 vaccines administered, not including doses from Banner Lassen Medical Center or CDCR.

At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 32 active cases, 1,993 recovered and two deaths at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are 39 active cases and 1,261 recovered cases at CCC, and no active and 245 recovered at FCI Herlong.

Positive correctional staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases. As of the Feb. 22 update, according to the CDCR COVID-19 tracker, at CCC there are currently 4 active staff cases, and 6 active staff cases at HDSP.

Locally, there have been 15,063 tests administered, with 13,043 returning negative and 1 pending.
