According to Lassen Cares, Lassen County’s COVID-19 reporting portal, as of 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, there are 261 total community cases. Of those, 95 are active, one is currently hospitalized, there are two reported deaths and there are 163 recovered cases — an increase of eight cases from Wednesday’s update.
At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 336 active cases, four recovered and one death at High Desert State Prison. Additionally, there are two active case and 626 recovered cases at CCC, and zero active and 12 recovered at FCI Herlong.
Positive staff tests, if they live in Lassen County, are included in the community cases. As of the Nov. 13 update from CDCR, there are six active staff cases at CCC and 37 active staff cases at HDSP. New updates on staff testing should be updated tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 20.
Locally, there have been 10,534 tests administered, with 10,222 returning negative and 51 pending.
