COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Lassen County and a second death was reported Tuesday morning.
According to Lassen Cares, Lassen County’s COVID-19 reporting portal, as of 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, there are 246 total community cases. Of those, 98 are active, one is currently hospitalized, there are two reported deaths and there are 145 recovered cases. The previous update from Lassen Cares, posted Saturday, Nov. 14, reported 218 total community cases, with 72 active, two hospitalized, one death and 143 recovered.
At the local correctional institutions, Lassen Cares reports there are 288 active cases and four recovered at High Desert State Prison, one active case and 626 recovered cases at CCC, and zero active and 12 recovered at FCI Herlong.
Locally, there have been 10,492 tests administered, with 10,208 returning negative and 88 pending.
