Lassen Cares reports additional community COVID-19 cases Friday

In the second update of the day, Lassen Cares, the local hub for COVID-19 information, reported an increase of 25 additional community cases.

As of 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, there are 208 Lassen County COVID-19 community cases. Of the total cases, 65 are active, four are currently hospitalized, 138 have recovered and there was one COVID-19 related death in October. The Friday morning report listed 183 Lassen County cases. Of the total cases, 46 were active, four were currently hospitalized, 132 have recovered and there was one COVID-19 related death.

Some local correctional institutions are also seeing an increase. According to Lassen Cares, High Desert State Prison has 260 active cases as of Friday afternoon, with four recovered.

FCI Herlong has eight active cases and four recovered, and there are zero active cases at CCC, with 626 recovered.

According to the CDCR COVID-19 tracker, at CCC there are 6 active staff cases, and 37 active staff cases at HDSP, as of Nov. 13.
