Lassen Cares, the county’s COVID-19 reporting site, updated the current pandemic numbers as of 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12. The number of COVID-19 cases in Lassen County increased by three since Monday and the number of prison cases increased by eight.
Lassen Cares Facebook page reports 75 total community cases — 14 active and 61 recovered; 619 total inmate cases — 81 active cases and 532 recovered cases at the California Correctional Center; zero active cases and five recovered cases at High Desert State Prison; and one active case at the Federal Correctional Institution, Herlong.
The county has administered 5,101 tests, and 4,891 have been negative and test results are pending on 44 tests.
A total of 236 serology tests have been administered (looking for antibodies), and there have been two positive results and 234 negative results.
