Lassen County 4-H pushes back beginning of year

Fires across the region are pushing back some events for Lassen County 4-H.

“Due to the fires in Lassen County that have impacted so many families, we have made the decision to push the beginning of the 2021-2022 4-H year to Oct. 1,”

They are also changing due dates for the following:

• 2020-2021 Club Treasurer Reports—October 5
• Club Year-end Reports—October 5
• All Around 4-Her of the Year applications—October 5
• Record Books competing in the County Record Book Evaluation—October 5
• Fair Review meeting—September 23 (prior to our Council meeting)

The 4-H Open House and County Officers’ Training will be held in late September.

Lassen County 4-H is still waiting to hear where the JLA Carcass Contest and check dispersal will be. And they are unable to use the fairgrounds and college. Everyone will be notified when a place has been decided on.

The Council meeting is still set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at the 4-H Office.
