Lassen County Architectural Review Committee schedules special session

The Lassen County Architectural Review Committee will convene in special session at 11 a.m. Friday, May 8 at Veterans Memorial Hall to consider matters initiated by the general public.

The commission will consider the development of “Guidelines,” as authorized by Section 18.11 8.040, to facilitate review of residential structures that require design review pursuant Section 18.108.235 (Architectural Requirements) of the Lassen County Code.

DESIGN REVIEW #2020-009, Richard and Auriana Warner. The applicants are proposing a 1,800-square-foot single-family residence that deviates from the roof pitch and roof overhang requirements of Lassen County Code $ 18.108.235.

Deviation from these requirements is allowed upon approval by the Architectural Review Committee through the Design Review process. The project site is zoned A-2-B-2 (Agricultural Residential District, 2-Acre Building Site Combining District) and its land use designation is “Rural Residential” in the Janesville Planning Area, 1993, and the Lassen County General Plan, 2000. The project site is located approximately one-half mile south of the intersection of Janesville Main Street and Christie streets at 709-755 Pine Street, Janesville, CA 961 14. APN: 129-120-18.
